SANTA WRITES A LETTER TO KIDS WHO HAVE DOUBTS.

YPSILANTI, MI, November 20, 2022

Available now on Amazon, A LETTER FROM SANTA: FOR KIDS WHO HAVE DOUBTS, as dictated to Mary K O’Neill, recounts the very real life of Santa, starting with his boyhood adventures as Nicholas to his transformation into the universally beloved Santa Claus. Ideal for kids who are struggling with inevitable doubts, this book explains how a miracle allows Santa to bring gifts to kids all over the world in one night. And how they might someday become his helper.

When a young girl questions how Santa can deliver all those gifts in one night, Santa decides it’s time to explain some things. He dictates a letter and asks the girl’s perplexed grandmother to share it with kids everywhere. His letter describes how he is as real as they are. His life is much like theirs. Then one day his parents ask him to give a beloved toy to a child who has nothing. Much to his surprise, young Nicholas finds joy in giving!

“Though I was still a boy, it was the start of a miracle,” he writes. “I was becoming Santa Claus. But it didn’t happen all at once.”

A Letter from Santa Claus is recommended for kids ages 10-14 as they begin to question their belief in Santa and his Christmas Eve mission. Can something so wonderful be real? Does growing up mean losing the magic? Santa reveals the miracle that will keep the magic alive forever.

The author, Mary O’Neill, lives with her husband in Ypsilanti, MI. When her granddaughter confided that she was grappling with the timeless question, “Is Santa real?” she pondered how to  reassure her that he is indeed real. That night Santa came to Mary in a dream; he wanted to send a letter to her granddaughter and all the kids going through these doubts. She wrote down everything he said and that is how this book came to be.
